Southampton vs West Bromwich Albion Programme (21 February 1968)
Product Details
West Bromwich Albion continued their progress in the 1967-68 FA Cup with a 3-2 win against Southampton in their 4th Round replay at The Dell.
A Jeff Astle brace and a Tony Brown goal saw the Baggies through on their way to winning the FA Cup at Wembley just a few months later. However, the most remarkable part of the win was Baggies goalkeeper, John Osbourne, suffered an injury during the game and had to be replaced. Without a replacement goalkeeper on the bench west Brom captain, Graham Williams, had to go in goal.
This genuine matchday programme remains in good condition with a mottling mark on the front cover—running through to a few more pages inside—the main sign of age. There are no team changes, scores or other writing.
